About this Audit Senior Opportunity in Bury

You will play an active role in planning and executing audits, leading the team during onsite assignments and working closely with senior colleagues to deliver accurate, well-organised work.

Client contact is central to the position. While onsite, you will become a key point of contact, building your understanding of each business and maintaining effective communication throughout the assignment.

You will also coach trainees and semi-seniors, helping them build confidence and improve the quality of their work.

Your Responsibilities

• Contribute to audit planning and carry out external audit assignments across a varied client portfolio.
• Lead onsite audit teams and coordinate their work during fieldwork.
• Work closely with Managers and Directors to deliver high-quality audits.
• Act as a key contact for clients during onsite assignments.
• Build lasting client relationships through clear communication and an understanding of their businesses.
• Coach and support trainees and semi-seniors as they develop their audit skills.
• Maintain careful attention to detail throughout your own work and the team’s delivery.
• Continue developing your technical knowledge and leadership skills.

About You

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified, with experience in external audit.

You should also bring:

• Experience working on a range of audit assignments, including owner-managed businesses.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
• The ability to lead colleagues during onsite assignments and support their development.
• Clear communication skills and confidence in building relationships with clients.
• A collaborative approach to working with Managers, Directors and the wider audit team.
• Confidence using technology and accounting systems.
• An interest in continuing your professional development and taking on new challenges.

Knowledge of CCH would be helpful but is not essential.
